This free webinar will look at Gray’s anticolonial thinking historically within his work and how it changed over course of his creative life, exploring what his anti-colonial commitments were.
Introduced by Sorcha Dallas (Custodian of The Alasdair Gray Archive), Hosted by Hussein Mitha, (researcher at AGA), with contributions from Scottish Graduate School for Arts and Humanities (SGSAH) CDA Lauren Forde on ‘Poor Things and Glasgow’, Henry Bell on Gray’s translation for the Palestinian poetry collection ‘A Bird is Not a Stone’ and Hussein Mitha’s new anti-colonial resource created as part of their placement at AGA, to be launched as part of this event. The event will be closed by Dr. Rodge Glass.
