Hear from Alasdair’s good friend and regular chess partner Bernard MacLaverty on how he heard Gray develop Poor Things from a short story into the seminal novel. Gray thanked him in the novel, even asking him to pose for the character portrait of Godwin Baxter. Bernard will be joined by Gray’s biographer Rodge Glass.

Nichol Wheatley helped Gray devise and deliver the incredible auditorium mural at Òran Mór, and others including SPT Hillhead. He will share insights into the development and design of the auditorium artwork, giving listeners a rare chance to hear how the artwork grew and first hand tales of working alongside Alasdair. Nichol will be joined by our Custodian Sorcha Dallas.
