We are so excited to launch our collaboration with @aoifecawleyart!!!
Inspired by Alasdair Gray's distinctive motifs coupled with his pride and love for Scotland, this scarf is decorated with Aoife's interpretations of the lion rampant, unicorn, and thistle motifs. Layers of creative response continue with our own version of Alasdair's 'work as if you live in the early days of a better nation' (itself a reimagining of Dennis Lee's couplet from 'Civil Elegies, 'And best of all is finding a place to be in the early days of a better civilization'). Our version reads: 'Alba. Live and work together, building something better'.
